So, this guy u/mothersspaghettos drops off his car at the service center and decides to book a Rapido instead of walking. The ride arrives, and it’s a young driver who’s super chatty.
The driver starts with, “Where are you from, and what do you do?” The guy answers, “Mumbai, and I work in software.” Then comes the classic follow-up: “How much do people earn in that field?”
He keeps it chill and explains that software jobs start with decent pay, but the earning potential is huge. But no, the driver wasn’t done. “Okay, but how much do you make?”
Now, this guy actually owns a company in Europe and makes good money. But he’s not about to flex in front of a random Rapido driver, so he lowballs it. “About one lakh a month,” he says.
And then, the bomb drops. The driver straight-up replies, “That’s still not much.”
Bruh.
At that moment, the guy was just sitting there, questioning his entire life. Was the driver trolling, or do gig workers secretly make bank? He always thought they might pull in about ₹1,000 a day, but now he’s not so sure.
It’s wild how this random Rapido ride turned into an existential crisis. Imagine thinking you’re doing okay, and then your Rapido driver basically calls you broke. Reality check, anyone?
